『一期一会～点前の共有 A Moment, A Memory: Embracing the Present』展のご案内

「Art and Syrup」では、2023年9月21日〜11月19日に
ニューヨークと横浜を拠点に活動するアーティスト・宮森敬子さんによる、
『一期一会～点前の共有 A Moment, A Memory: Embracing the Present』展を開催します。
 
家族の歴史や記憶を呼び起こしながら、過去から現在、そして未来に
記憶の軌跡を連ねる制作を一貫して行う宮森さんが、
今回は“現在”に重きを置き、オブジェや平面作品、陶芸などと共に
Art and Syrupに「いま、ここ、この瞬間」の体験を演出します。
 
また会期中には、宮森さんが参加者（客人）と一対一で向き合い、
自ら作陶した茶器を使いお茶を点ててふるまう点前を行うイベント、「点前の共有」を開催します。
 
今この瞬間の体験に意識を向けるマインドフルネスが注目される現在、
宮森さんの作品やイベントを通し、この瞬間にうまれる記憶をArt and Syrupで刻んでいただければ幸いです。

会期中、宮森さんが参加者と一対一で向き合いお点前するイベントを開催します。

●宮森敬子　プロフィール
1964年神奈川生まれ。
筑波大学大学院芸術研究科日本画専攻修了。三木多聞賞受賞（1994年）、
文化庁新進芸術家海外留学制度により米国ペンシルバニア大学大学院在籍（1998年）。
2000年よりフィラデルフィアで、2011年よりニューヨークで制作をする。
作品は絵画、彫刻からインスタレーションに及び、
現在は日本とアメリカを基盤に制作活動を行なっている。
和紙や木炭を使い、異なる時間や場所に存在する自然や人工物の組み合わせを、
個と全体のつながりに注目した作品を作っている。

Keiko Miyamori, known for her consistent exploration of the traces of memories from the past to the present and into the future, invites you to experience her latest creation centered on the “present” moment. This exhibition, entitled A Moment, A Memory: Embracing the Present,” features a captivating collection of sculptures, two-dimensional artworks, ceramics, and more.
 
A highlight of the event is the “Sharing the Moment” tea ceremony, where Keiko Miyamori will engage one-on-one with participants, using teaware she has personally crafted. This unique opportunity allows you to savor the art of tea preparation while sharing a moment of connection.
 
In an era that emphasizes mindfulness and being present in the current moment, Keiko Miyamori’s artwork and events provide a gateway to capture the memories born in these very instants. We warmly invite you to join us at Art and Syrup and engrave these fleeting moments in time.
 
“Sharing the Moment” Tea Ceremony Details
During the exhibition, Keiko Miyamori will host intimate tea ceremonies for individual participants.
